The beginning

Greetings fellow foodies.  As I mentioned in my "editorial" I am a closet nutritionist. I have been reading about nutrition since I was a young adult.  I think it started with my Mother always telling me that I was fat. (That is another story) I have known for years that good nutrition = good health, I think we all do. However, do we really know what good nutrition is? We know what the media tells us. We know what our parents told us. We know what our Doctor tells us, assuming they have. But, do you really know? Do you know what a good carb is and what a bad carb is?  I've been reading and watching some documentary on the subject. I will share these and the books and what I have learned and what I am finding to be real by  my own experiment.  I'm not going into the dark realm of science here. My brain can't handle that. Science was never my strong subject, but we all eat. We all can detect changes in our bodies if we pay attention.  I'm paying attention and this is my journey...............
